The mission of the Sunshine Network for Youth Safety is protecting our most valuable resources -- our children.
Sexual predators on the Internet are exploiting children and young teens. Thousands of children and teens are reported missing every year without leaving any clues as to where they may be. Often, children are lured away from the safety of their homes, only to find themselves in horrible situations.
The Sunshine Program, from the Sunshine Network for Youth Safety, a not for profit corporation, was set up to fund technology for our law enforcement agencies to help find missing children, return runaway children and stop sexual predators using the Internet to exploit our children.
Our community involvement programs aim to provide educational materials for our children, their parents and educators, and to assist them in making better choices with their lives. Understanding the dangers of drugs and alcohol, combined with a positive view of their future, can help our children make choices in the right direction.
Our goals over the next two years are to:
1) Provide a one year access license for the Online Sexual Predator Profiling System, (OPPS), and the Fast Reports to each law enforcement agency in the United States. OPPS is a web based system designed to track online sexual predators, missing children and runaways. Fast Report is the optimized version of OPPS, which provides immediate, time sensitive information when used with an in-vehicle computer or PDA.
2) Fund programs to educate children against the dangers of using drugs and alcohol.
3) Create and Fund educational programs and materials to keep our children aware of online dangers.
